Chhath Puja is a Hindu festival observed mainly in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, as well as in the neighboring country of Nepal. The festival is dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, Surya, and his wife Usha, and is held twice a year - once during the Hindu month of Chaitra (April-May) and once during Kartik (October-November).
